Boston’s waterfront condos may be in the highest demand in all of New England’s real estate market. With dozens of restaurants, bars, shops, and sight seeing attractions, Boston’s waterfront is a hot stop for tourism, nightlife and employment opportunities. Stretching from the newly constructed Zakim Bridge, past the North End, and into South Boston, the Boston waterfront is decorated with many wharfs, jetting out over the water and supporting some of the most luxurious condominiums, town houses, and hotels the city has to offer. With the thousands of condominiums, apartments, and townhouses lining the waterfront, as well as the construction of the new 130 luxury unit Intercontinental, and the 104 unit Battery Wharf, the Boston waterfront is becoming home to more and more upper income professionals and empty nesters every year. For the past 50 years or so, the raised central artery separated the Boston waterfront from the financial district and downtown Boston. With the construction of The Big Dig, and the dismantling of the central artery, the Boston waterfront, and North End, is once again reunited with the City and joined by, what is soon to be, the Rose Kennedy Parkway, a system of parks and tree-lined walkways.
