Newton Massachusetts is also called the Garden City. It's an upscale suburb just west of Boston in Middlesex County known for its prime residential property that includes town homes, mansions, condos, and duplexes in historical and developed neighborhoods. Newton is a patchwork of 14 villages surrounded by the Charles River, small town areas with individual identities of their own: Auburndale, Chestnut Hill, Newton Corner, Newton Highlands, Newton Lower and Upper Falls, Newtonville, Nonantum, Oak Hill, Thompsonville, Waban, Weston, Newton, and Oak Hill Park that originally began as Cambridge. It was first called Cambridge Village, Newtown and then Newton in 1766
Newton's location gives it great access to Boston for commuters as well as a large number of local jobs, train stops going in and out of Boston and access to the Mass Pike and 128/95 making it a short distance from Boston and beyond. It's a quiet, upscale area that continues to change with the needs of its residents. Condominium inventory continues to increase. Newton has a cornucopia of choices in residences running from the high to the low, a variety of sizes, prices, and condo developments. Neighborhoods are well maintained along with parks, museums, clubs, golf courses and of course worry free condo maintenance. Amenities and higher property values have drawn young and old buyers alike. Newton is alive with arts organizations, theatre groups, the arts in the Parks Orchestra, and its known for its first rate services and schools. It is a desirable area with much to offer, the reason for a continued increase in its condo inventory and its variety.
Newton condominiums can run the gamut from one, two, three to "five bedroom units, town houses, detached units, low rise, mid rise and high rise developments. With the large number of villages that comprise it there is a wide variety of condo choices that blend in to make a comprehensive inventory to satisfy Newton's growing population. Most larger units with more than one bathroom have a dining room, large windows that let in lots of light, complete with stream lined with finished wood paneling.. Many of the two and three bedroom condos are resplendent with hard wood floors, marble counter tops, stainless steel fixtures that can also family rooms and fire places. Many of these units blend in with the surrounding landscape of colonials, detached older homes and renovated spaces with lots of new features. High end condominiums have a unique appeal. many are hidden in quiet residential lanes among private homes. They offer many of the same amenities as any place: large refinished kitchens, stainless steel appliances, living rooms, dining rooms, and some times enclosed porches or decks. High end condos generally start around half a million and often take advantage of elegant older neighborhoods in the form of town homes and condo conversions. Newer developments can make the most of attached garages in planned surroundings with laundry facilities, fire places, home entertainment systems, walk in closets or whatever else may be added to custom designed interior. Converted mansions offer swimming pools and tennis courts, sun rooms, more sq. footage, deluxe state of the art kitchens and in some cases fitness centers, chandeliers, up to four thousand sq. feet of space, sun rooms, out door dining, impeccably landscaped grounds, gardens, near golf courses and country clubs. Newton continues to benefit from the economic growth of greater Boston. jobs in infrastructure, supplementary technologies, biomedical engineering, high technology and pharmaceutical industries. They are a few reasons why demand for homes with a greater inventory of condominiums to offer a greater flexibility in satisfying the growing demand is able to meet needs for a variety of households. |
