| Brimfield is a quaint, little new England town first settled in 1731, the same year George Washington was born. They capitalize on its neighborhoods’ historic charm and proximity to the town’s amenities: restaurants, stores, beauty salons, a winery, public library beach, golf course, bowling alley and shopping. Most activities are a short drive or walk away from historic sites: Warren Farm, Sugar House, or Brookfield Apple Orchard. It’s a perfect option to buy a vacation cottage or condo. Many are fully furnished or recently renovated. Nearby Lake Lashaway offers swimming, boating, water skiing, biking, fishing, etc. A small population promises job growth in tourism, hospitality, and technology, health care, bioengineering and education in and around Brimfield. The quiet, unadulterated community is not filled with condo units but vacation homes and conversions of split levels and some multi-unit housing. Brimfield has a state forest, rolling fields besotted with trees that spans more than 20 miles of roads and trails for walking, hiking, cross country skiing and horseback riding. Placid scenes of the Dean Pond Recreation area offer amenities for condominiums and single family homes. Swimming, picnicking, walking, hiking and many other choices can be selected across a hundred foot stretch of beach.
