360 Newbury Street

360 Newbury Street is one of the newest and most recognizable residences in Boston. Located in beautiful Back Bay, 360 Newbury sets a mark for luxury condo living with its 54 gorgeous 1 to 3 bedroom lofts. The building was originally constructed in 1920, before being renovated in 1987. Although it was originally designed for office and retail use, it has since been turned into a prominent Newbury landmark, sitting on Newbury at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue. Frank Gehry, best known for designing the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain, was the architect. Architecture columnist Robert Campbell stated that Gehry "..took a blandly forgettable building and transformed it into a monument... It's the first significant example in Boston of a movement known as deconstruction. Deconstructionist buildings are designed to look as if their parts are either colliding or exploding, usually at crazy angles."
